Why I believe there is a God... NB! Beliefs not limited to this post.

When it comes to the possibility of God's existence, the Bible says that there are people who have seen sufficient evidence, but they have suppressed the truth about God. On the other hand, for those who want to know God if he is there, he says, "You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you." Before you look at the facts surrounding God's existence, ask yourself, If God does exist, would I want to know him?

Does God exist? The complexity of our planet points to a deliberate Designer who not only created our universe, but sustains it today.

The human brain... simultaneously processes an amazing amount of information. Your brain takes in all the colours and objects you see, the temperature around you, the pressure of your feet against the floor, the sounds around you, the dryness of your mouth, even the texture of your keyboard. Your brain holds and processes all your emotions, thoughts and memories. At the same time your brain keeps track of the ongoing functions of your body like your breathing pattern, eyelid movement, hunger and movement of the muscles in your hands.

The human brain processes more than a million messages a second. Your brain weighs the importance of all this data, filtering out the relatively unimportant. This screening function is what allows you to focus and operate effectively in your world. The brain functions differently than other organs. There is intelligence to it, the ability to reason, to produce feelings, to dream and plan, to take action, and relate to other people.

I’m not even going to get started about the perfection amounted to the human body, earth, water, plants etc okay wait, I won’t finish every single created thing, I’m going to keep this brief as possible because there are infinite reasons why God exists.

Does God exist? The universe had a start - what caused it?

Scientists are convinced that our universe began with one enormous explosion of energy and light, which we now call the Big Bang. This was the singular start to everything that exists: the beginning of the universe, the start of space, and even the initial start of time itself.

Astrophysicist Robert Jastrow, a self-described agnostic, stated, "The seed of everything that has happened in the Universe was planted in that first instant; every star, every planet and every living creature in the Universe came into being as a result of events that were set in motion in the moment of the cosmic explosion...The Universe flashed into being, and we cannot find out what caused that to happen.”

Steven Weinberg, a Nobel laureate in Physics, said at the moment of this explosion, "the universe was about a hundred thousand million degrees Centigrade...and the universe was filled with light."

The universe has not always existed. It had a start...what caused that? Scientists have no explanation for the sudden explosion of light and matter.

The opening statement of the Bible declares that “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1) Ask, "Who or what can say who or what did begin the universe?" Contemporary science -- although not absolutely certain on exactly what, when or how:

It makes no logical sense for anyone to assert that "absolutely nothing" could have produced that initiating bang or anything else: "something existed" and "caused that" -- producing those things that we know of as having a beginning.

That is enough reasons I could end here but guess what there are infinite reasons for Gods existence read further to be equipped with some of them.

Bible’s accuracy

There was a "beginning of things". There was an outline of "from-simple-to-complex-development" in the creation of earth and life in a Genesis account of creation. Explains our universe far "in advance of humanity having theories/developed or technology" to try to form such concepts and verify scientific assertions. For instance, the Bible says:
  • “He stretches out the north [a direction] over 'empty' space, and 'hangs the earth on nothing'.” (Job 26:7)
  • How would the writer four thousand years in the past (2000BC) have known that the Earth is "suspended on nothing" -- not attached to anything, but mountains were called pillars of heaven in the poetry of Job 26:11, "The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at His threatening.", ie: mountains "tremble and are astonished" (a poetic phrase).
Consider where did meaningful plans (purposeful instructions) for life to exist come from:

within the "living" cells. The instructions only make sense when processed by existing, "living" cells and they function only there.

We are all born with a knowledge that there are right and wrong plus many capacities to appreciate simplicity and elegance, and to communicate, analyze, synthesize and calculate -- plus design and build so that it is natural for people to take pleasure in creativity and not pointless destruction. Read the Bible and see where the knowledge of good and evil comes from: from God.

Look around you and look at the world.

Does he or she see only the trees but not the interdependent forest? Obviously, God exists, because His creation is not only one thing, but all the instructions for all the physics of the biosphere of the world, the galaxy that the world is in, and the universe that the galaxy is in and is the driving force behind it all. The living cells that were designed and created to be self-replicating cells or organisms.

Each system intermingles, is interdependent, with others. The "universe of life" operates according to sophisticated and precise instructions to form trillions of cells to correctly make one life, for example, one human. Who or what conceptualized and formulated these interdependent instructions? The Bible indicates that God is the being who spoke the first words and that God is the source of all life (which would entail all the plans, genes, and the living cells needed to process the plans).

Jesus fulfilled dozens of Old Testament Messianic Prophecies and did things which no ordinary person could ever do.

Jesus was recorded to have been born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2) of the Tribe of Judah (Genesis 49:10), and to have visited the Temple (Malachi 3:1) and to have risen from the dead (Isaiah 53:11). Historical sources and archaeological evidence establish the legitimacy of Jesus of Nazareth as an actual person to an extent comparable to that of any other notable historical figure. The books called the gospels document the life and teachings of Jesus and the existence and expansion of Christianity as a major religion showing Christ's purpose to create free access to the all mighty through His advocacy/mediation.

If it were simply accidental or unintended and at the mercy of physical non-living aspects of the universe which features corruption, decay, breakage, erosion vs the amazingly healing forms of life and human-life which may visualize, build and improve things -- while the material universe provides us with the things necessary to sustain, enhance, and enjoy life.

There are luxuries which are not essential to survival and reproduction such as art, music, and ever-evolving technology. Is this indicative of an indifferent cosmos or more indicative of one which is somewhat friendly to humans? It seems more reasonable to conclude that the universe materialized due to the presence of an intelligent force when one takes the time to learn how so many things had to go right in order for us to be here and how difficult it would be to possibly explain how not one of those things went wrong without making reference to God. It also seems as though the universe was designed for people when one considers how human beings are the phenomenal creatures with the rare capacity to maximize the somewhat hidden potential of creation.

We each have a desire to seek love and acceptance (God is love...).

From childhood on, we try to fill that gap that exists within us. Sharing a life with another person, enjoying the companionship, stems from Adam and Eve who desired to love and be loved, as companions and as a means of creating a world of mankind. The Christian idea that humanity is God’s most prized creation is quite tenable. We need air and it is all around the planet we call home, we require water and it falls in purified form from the sky, we must consume food to live and it grows from the ground and roams water and land in abundance, and a family model of having parents, a spouse and children exists to satisfy our greatest vacancy for love. The strength, beauty and knowledge of each person exist for the edification, maturation and upliftment of the full spectrum of humanity. No other religion besides Christianity most forcefully establishes that life is a gift of love from God and that our lives are to be lived in service to God and humanity. If we believe that this is the way things are designed, then it follows that there is a maker: a God.

There are many examples showing God's existence, but one has to be able to look and realise its truth.

Accept it instead of doubting it, see it instead of shutting your eyes and you will believe that God exists. Consider how the usefulness and attractiveness of things produced by human beings are not accidental qualities when present but are a result of our intelligent nature and our natural delight in order, balance, and beauty. In a similar way, it is unreasonable to conclude that the surpassing usefulness and attractiveness of things throughout nature are accidental qualities but it is rather more reasonable to conclude that they are the result of the existence of a surpassing intelligence which also delights in order, balance, and beauty. Creativity is at the bedrock and pinnacle of the existence of all living and non-living things and it is up to each person to attempt to explain his or her natural reverence for this illustrious state of affairs. The Bible says that God created everything and was quite pleased with his work.

What proof did Jesus give for claiming to be divine? He did what people can't do. Jesus performed miracles. He healed people...blind, crippled, deaf, even raised a couple of people from the dead. He had power over objects...created food out of thin air, enough to feed crowds of several thousand people. He performed miracles over nature...walked on top of a lake, commanding a raging storm to stop for some friends. People everywhere followed Jesus, because he constantly met their needs, doing the miraculous. He said if you do not want to believe what I'm telling you, you should at least believe in me based on the miracles you're seeing.

God himself took on the form of man and accepted the punishment for our sin on our behalf. Sounds ludicrous? Perhaps, but many loving fathers would gladly trade places with their child in a cancer ward if they could or any other detrimental situation. The Bible says that the reason we would love God is because he first loved us.

God does not force us to believe in him, though he could. Instead, he has provided sufficient proof of his existence for us to willingly respond to him. The earth's perfect distance from the sun, the unique chemical properties of water, the human brain, DNA, the number of people who attest to knowing God, the gnawing in our hearts and minds to determine if God is there, the willingness for God to be known through Jesus Christ. If you need to know more about Jesus and reasons to believe in him, seek him without ignorance.

I have never been taught Black history in school

I spent 12 years in school and 3 years in college yet I was never taught anything about black history. I was never taught anything about Queen Amaniranus who defeated the Roman Empire. I was not taught anything about Imotep who built the step pyramids and who was the first physician. I was never taught anything about The black Pope Victor who ruled over Rome. I was not taught anything about the great University of Timbuktu. I was never taught anything about Prince Hall and the other black Freemasons. I was not taught anything about the battle of Isandlawna. I was not taught anything about King Moshesoe who could read and write way before he met white people. I was not taught anything about the great kingdom of Mapungubwe and the black people who started mining and farming more than 43000 years ago. I was not taught anything about the father of this nation Robert Sobukwe. Till this day they dont teach about Marcus Garvey and black conscioussnes. I was not taught anything about Malcolm x and Huey Newton. Instead I was taught about Queen Victoria, the French revolution and Joseph Stalin of Russia. The sad thing is I do not know Queen Victoria I do not speak French and I dont see myself going to Russia.

This is why some black people look down on blacks and up at whites. They have been programmed to think that way. Know your history.

Three television thriller... Black people brainwash

In South Africa we have 3 television channels. S.A.B.C. 1,2 and 3.

SABC 1 is a black channel
SABC 2 is an Afrikaans channel
SABC 3 is an English channel

Now the English channel mostly plays educational programs and most of the people on it look smart and the soapies are not really bad.

The Afrikaans channel is also educational and the soapies do not devalue women

Then you get the black channel. The black channel plays mind dumbing reality shows and the soapies devalue women.

Now what is the outcome?

Afrikaans and English people are in good relationships, most of them anyway. They dont really care about expensive clothes and they even walk barefoot in town. To them small things do not really matter.

Then you get the black youth. Most of them are in useless relationships and those useless relationships are the only things on their minds. Just go on Facebook you'll see it for yourself. Now lets not even mention the muggin pictures and the colour blocking topics.

Now let me tell how this happens.

If I were to visit your crib and then write my name on your Walls. If I leave and then come back 8 months later we would both not remember that my name was there. However if I put an image on your walls and then come back 8 months later we would both remember the image because images are stronger than words.

Now let me give you another example. If you see an alcohol advert and the person in the advert is happy, the words underneath the person will not matter. Which is why alcohol adverts warn us about alcohol but then show people who are happy drinking alcohol. When you see that the image will play in your head and you will think you need alcohol in order to be truly happy and anyone who tells you to stop will be like that line.

Let me give you one more example. Lets say you are 6 years old and on television you see an uneducated black person who cannot speak English. That image will stay in your head and you will grow up believing that black people who cannot speak English are uneducated even though there are thousands of people with degrees who cannot speak English. Even worse its only black people who care if they can speak English or not.

This is how television misleads the black youth. They show us destructive images to confuse us. Now, if you spend 6 hours everyday watching television by the time you are 60 years old you would have wasted 10-15 years of your life watching television so becareful. Watch television but remember Books are your best friends. Peace.

I Expect More From You - Vangile Gantsho

#South African poet

Lets pay tribute. Never forget your roots. Do not be ignorant about your history embrace it, learn from it and be thankful for it.

Soweto uprising 16 June 1976

Student protesting against the forceful imposition of Afrikaans
So when the Department of Education issued its decree that Afrikaans was to become a language of instruction at school, it was into an already volatile situation. Students objected to being taught in the language of the oppressor. Many teachers themselves could not speak Afrikaans, but were now required to teach their subjects in it.
Black people who where willing to give they lives for freedom
When the 1976 school year started, many teachers refused to teach in Afrikaans. But generally students were disparaging of the attitude of their teachers and parents. One student wrote to The World newspaper: "Our parents are prepared to suffer under the white man's rule. They have been living for years under these laws and they have become immune to them. But we strongly refuse to swallow an education that is designed to make us slaves in the country of our birth."
Apartheid police savagely killing Black students
In June, Form 1 and 2 students from Orlando West Junior Primary School (also known as Phefeni) staged a classroom boycott. They were joined by students from seven other Soweto schools. The Department of Bantu Education sent the police in. At Naledi High School students had demanded to speak to the regional director of education. Instead members of the police Special Branch arrived. This led to the first incidence in which students really felt their power: when the Special Branch members locked themselves in the school principal's office, students overturned the police vehicles.

A students meeting was held in Orlando on Sunday 13 June. About 400 students attended. At the meeting, Tsietsi Mashinini, a 19-year-old-leader of aSASM branch, called for a mass demonstration against the use of Afrikaans was called for the following Wednesday, 16 June. Students made a pact not to get their parents involved, believing they would try to stop it.

On 16 June, students assembled at different points throughout Soweto, then set off to meet at Orlando West Secondary School where the plan was to pledge their solidarity, sing Nkosi Sikeleli 'iAfrika and, having made their point, go back home. Witnesses later said that between 15,000 and 20,000 students school uniform marched.

Students evaporate due to police attack
The Bureau of State Security (BOSS), which was in charge of South Africa's internal security, were caught unaware. A police squad was sent in to form a line in front of the marchers. They ordered the crowd to disperse. When they refused, police dogs were released, then teargas was fired. Students responded by throwing stones and bottles at the police. Journalists later reported seeing a policeman draw his revolver and shoot without warning into the crowd. Other policemen also started shooting.

Famous picture of Hector Peterson and his two siblings
Brutally beaten fighting for freedom
Students started setting fire to symbols of apartheid, such as government buildings, municipal beerhalls and liquor stores, Putco buses, and vehicles belonging to white businesses. Anti-riot vehicles and members of the Anti-Urban Terrorism Unit arrived. Army helicopters dropped teargas on gatherings of students. Roadblocks were set up at all entrances to Soweto. The battle between students and police continued into the night.

Amazing affection

#South African advert

I honestly think this is touching. Everyone should long for this type of love. He would do anything for her affection. So should all men. Show her you love her more then she loves you, make her feel a bit guilty, make her feel special and loved all the time.

#Cruxifiction type of love.

Protect and love her like she was created to be loved.

Embracing our woman

Malcolm X said that the Black Woman was the least protected and most disrespected Woman on the planet. I understand where he is coming from.

I think some (not all) brother’s have forgotten/abandoned our roles…
More Black Men should stand up, recognize the authentic beauty of the Black Women, and put it on a pedestal. If we don’t who will?
What I would say to some Black Men who don’t find the “Natural/Afro/African” look attractive, is your “preference” really your own or is it a programmed one? I understand that the superheroes we watched growing up never saved a girl that had an Afro. All I ask is that you think about it…

What I would say to Black Women is do you find your natural beauty attractive? Do you doubt it because of the attention you may get or lack of? Screw what society says, have confidence and people will eventually learn to accept who you are and respect it…

“The Skin and Hair That You’re In, You’re Already Perfect”. The media portrays a false image of what is beautiful!.

The mockery of Black women and her weave

This post isn’t to start a Natural vs Weave/Relaxer debate but to shed light on the fact that Asian’s make a fortune off Black hair and it’s maintenance. Black Women are basically putting their kids through college. Everyone profits off black people but black people.

I also want to point out the observation that many people mock Black Women In regards to hair. I KNOW I’m not the only one who has seen these hair jokes. I’m usually first to defend it. While I don’t agree with these ignorant comments I must admit that there must be a respect factor missing for Women who constantly wear other Women’s or Animal’s hair to cover their own because they feel their natural hair isn’t presentable.
Let me also point out White Women wear weave too. The difference is that it is usually an extension of their natural hair or texture. Some women wear their hair in a weave as a protective style for their natural hair. So it’s not always about not appreciating your natural hair however wouldn't it make more sense to wear a weave that reflects your natural hair?

Natural Black hair is beautiful
Personally, I think it’s sexy when Black/African Women wear those braids that are an EXTENSION of their natural hair texture. That’s Poetic Justice, Poetic Justice!! But who cares what I think back to the post. Moral of this story is that people are laughing and profiting off our need to “tame” that nappy head that God cursed us with *sarcasm*

It’s something to think about when you’re about to purchase that R400 Remy. Please don’t shoot me or send me death threats after this post I know this is a sensitive subject. I’m just passing the word. Black Women Weave, Perm, or Natural you are Beautiful.
