She was born into a world that only had bad news
started off good but later on came the blues
tapped her arm for the boy now she had no worries
until that day came and her vision got blurried
couldn't see the effects of the monkey she had carried
no lookin' back now she dependin' on him daily 

I feel for her through my pen she resurrected
the devil had a hold on her soul she couldn't shake it
back and forth she struggled wit the rope but never made it
credit cards check scams was real she couldn't fake it
dope man was callin' so she had to get the paper

NEGLECTED YOUNG MOTHER addicted to the dope
HARDTIMES, COLD WORLD addicted to the liquor
THE PAIN, THE STRUGGLE addicted to the weed

THE STORY GETS DEEPER AS WE PROCEED

next up is a man that she met during her struggle
she fell in love wit him he already loved the bottle
thunderbird kept him on tilt yeah he escape
from amateur to wino everyday drownin' his pain
his pops was never there so the streets had him stressed
gang wars poverty the ghetto never rest
basketball, football, baseball he did it all
caught up in the wrong yo he could have been a superstar

damn

streets grabbed him man he couldn't take it 
the bottle was his lover every night they got naked

dope fiend, alcoholic, brain cells cooked

escapin' your environment
jobs ain't hirin'
if your colour is black
that's a natural fact
step outside the box so you can get yourself goin'

stay patient, never rush
keep your mask on
sit back observe never show all your cards
two addicts perfect marriage they would bring forth another
shakin' while they was lovin' they created a youngin'
next in the line of addicts unless his strong enough to break 'em
the chains that held him down never escapin'

he started with the liquor next up was the weed
snorted a little coke but he kept his nose clean
popped a few pills but he never got ill
survival of the fit man I am the real deal
